The Sensis Student Engineering Contest kicked-off this year with a visit by the participating schools on January 22, 2010. The teams met up for a half day at our Enterprise facility, where they attended engineering demonstrations by our design engineers, met their mentors, and asked questions about this year's problem statement.
Our students are competing this year to see who can build a small, wind-powered vehicle from limited materials that can travel both downwind and upwind. They will return to Sensis in late February to receive feedback on their progress in a Design Review, followed by the demonstration of their vehicles in late March.
