Expeditionary Mission Planner Radar Optimizer (EMPRO)

EMPRO

The Sensis Expeditionary Mission Planner and Radar Optimizer (EMPRO) provides radar officers and operators a user-friendly, laptop-based quantitative tool that will quickly determine the most optimal location and sensor configurations to accomplish the full range of anti-air warfare missions. EMPRO predicts radar performance based upon the potential threat (theater ballistic missile [TBM] or air breathing target [ABT]), environmental conditions (weather, terrain, clutter and jamming), and radar operating configurations. The threat can be defined in terms of geometry and type, with associated cross sections, speeds and operating altitudes.

EMPRO utilizes Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) to determine terrain masking for specified radar locations and Vector Map (VMAP) data to provide geographical features information to support logistical consideration.

EMPRO's capability to analyze performance in ever-changing environments affords Expeditionary Forces the necessary tools and situational awareness to successfully complete the mission.
