VeeLo NextGen™

The Sensis VeeLo NextGen is an airport surface vehicle locator designed to operate in conjunction with the widely used Sensis Multistatic Dependent Surveillance (MDS) system as well as Advanced-Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS). The unit installs on the external surface of vehicles operating in the airport movement and apron areas to provide air traffic controllers with vehicle position and identity.

VeeLo NextGen incorporates an improved WAAS enabled GPS receiver and broadcasts its location and identity using the Mode S Extended Squitter ADS-B message format. The small, lightweight unit can automatically end transmission when the vehicle leaves the movement area.

VeeLo NextGen contains a 24-bit ICAO address and can support a user defined alpha-numeric code (e.g., radio callsigns). The unit installs on the external surface of any airport vehicle and can be field-configured using a PC.
