System Interface Unit (SIU)

The Sensis System Interface Unit (SIU) is a highly modular data format and protocol converter. Each SIU module contains four independent, bi-directional serial channels which support a variety of protocols, electrical standards and message formats.

The SIU’s rack-mountable enclosure provides power for up to six SIU modules and a 10BASE-T Ethernet hub. The SIU modules and enclosure form an Ethernet network from which data can be transferred using standard TCP/IP and UDP/IP communication protocols.
