snowfall, we do still have four seasons; tulips bloom for Mother's
Day, air conditioning is used heavily on July 4th and if you're
lucky, leaves will be the only thing piled high on the ground for
Halloween. For those of you who have not experienced lake effect,
we promise that it's a better thrill than any dusting out there.

For those seeking higher education, the city and surrounding counties have an extensive private, state and county educational network with more than 44 colleges and universities in the CNY area including: (this list is not complete and is in no particular order) Syracuse University, Le Moyne College, Cornell University, Cazenovia College, Clarkson University, Ithaca College, Colgate University, Hamilton College, SUNY Environmental Science & Foresty, Onondaga Community College, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Geneseo and the Boards of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES).
Rated "one of the best places to raise a family" by Money and Parenting Magazine, Syracuse and the CNY area also have excellent schools for your children. With a low student-to-teacher ratio, your children will receive the attention they deserve to make sure they succeed. Both the Fayetteville-Manlius and Skaneateles School Districts, located in Greater Syracuse, have some of the highest test scores and rates of graduates continuing on to college in the nation. Additionally, the Syracuse City School District has a partnership with Onondaga Community College where students can not only graduate with a high school diploma, but an Associate’s Degree.
